Our story
The Private Essence was founded in 2021 with the mission of creating exclusive and personalized gastronomic experiences in the comfort of the client's home or chosen location, anywhere in Portugal. Specializing in private dinners, special occasions, and corporate events, the service distinguishes itself through attention to detail, excellence in service, and the use of high-quality local ingredients.
At the helm of the project is Chef Jorge Afonseca, whose passion for cooking began in childhood, alongside his mother. This family foundation evolved into a journey marked by continuous learning, exploration of flavors, and contact with different gastronomic cultures, which shaped his contemporary and original approach.
At The Private Essence, each dish is conceived as an artistic expression, a fusion of tradition and innovation, where technique, creativity, and authenticity come together to transform each meal into a memorable moment. Surprising with the unexpected is more than a motto: it's the essence of every creation.
